Carol and Sam

THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR
Carol Reed helps build a shop.

SHOP OWNER: Ellis Walentine
LOCATION: Springtown, PA

After a long weekend of holding forth at the American Woodworker Show, my old pal Carol Reed probably needed a forty-mile car ride and a day of sawing and hammering like a hole in the head. But she had been looking forward to it, and so had I. I need all the help I can get to build this new/replacement shop of mine.
A Good Job Done!

Carol's visit was all too brief--just a day--but we managed to visit some local woodworkers and also put about half a day into the shop. We set a door and a couple windows, and nailed up half a wall's worth of 1 x 12 pine siding. Carol was particularly amused (bemused?) by my critters. Sam, the black dog in the picture, acted as superintendent and general nuisance throughout our work session.
After all this (and a good night's sleep), Carol had to drive 2 1/2 hours to Baltimore to catch her plane back to San Diego. What a trooper! Thanks again, Carol. It was great fun!
