Oak Slant Front Desks
These desks are built to last.

After building a slant front desk for my oldest granddaughter, it was time to build three more for the rest of the grandkids. I had no plans. I just got some pictures off the Internet and “winged it” after that. They are made from red oak with a wipe on poly finish.

Building three of these at one time in my small shop was my first challenge. I had to build something so that I could roll them around while I was working on them.

Also, I did not find any of the available supports to my liking, as they probably would not hold up with the kids leaning on the writing surface. To eliminate any chance of the hinges failing, I built my own supports from solid brass.
