A great way to utilize scraps and help a worthy cause too.

Throughout each year between projects, I make toys using scraps and shorts that accumulate in my shop. In December, the toys are turned into our local woodworkers guild that, in turn, donates them to an inner city day school.
These are children of needy families and if a child has an "attachment" for a particular toy, he/she can take it home. Last year among the toys that I made for this cause were vintage vehicles. I built a 1932 Buick Sedan, a Ford Model A Pickup, and a 1930 Ford Model A Roadster.
Last year it was a rush for me to have the toys ready by the December turn-in date. So this year I have started early. I made the Buick again but this time added a rumble seat to the roadster. Good fun!
