SEGMENTED BOWL AND LID
After turning others, this is still my favorite.

I am new to the world of segmented turnings and have only done a few pieces so far, mainly as gifts for Christmas and birthdays. This lidded bowl was my first attempt at segmented turning and took about three weeks to complete. It has a diameter of 6-7/8" and stands 9-1/2" tall. It consists of a total of 113 pieces of oak, maple, purpleheart, padauk, and walnut. The lid is stepped to fit inside the bottom and the wall thickness of both the lid and the bowl is 1/4". Since I made this one I have done a few more, both covered and open. One of my subsequent efforts has over a thousand pieces of various pieces of scrap leftover from previous turnings and projects. But my first effort is still my favorite.
