Shop improvements create a better workspace.

About a year ago, Shop Shot #629 featured my basement shop. I have been working on making my shop better and have a couple of updated pictures to share. Along the newly installed left wall, I will have all my bench tools and quick adaptors. New power supplies run along the wall, and now my dust collector and air compressor are behind it, providing a much quieter shop! Eventually I will make upper and lower cabinets for across the wall. In addition, you can see where moving my table saw created a more useful and not as obstructive area.
This shot shows a view across the shop. My chop saw station will remain against the wall, and I will most likely invest in a sliding miter saw. I will also make uppers and lowers along that wall. The movement of machines and the finalization of the wall placement opened up a lot of space. My custom-built solid maple assembly table, a gift from my wife, is visible in the lower corner. I think she's a keeper, my wife that is...oh, and the table!. . . Bob Huddleston
