VARIATION IN STYLE
A not-so-normal construction method creates a stylish table.

This is a slight variation to the standard way to attach legs. The corners of the table feature dovetailed joints and I attached the legs using bridal joints, no mortise and tenon joints at all. I used hand-cut half blind dovetails for the drawer and made the aprons on my Leigh D4 jig. The table is entirely white oak except for the drawer, which I made from combination of maple and white oak. Five coats of a wipe-on poly finish followed by two coats of wax on the tabletop completed this project.
