FIRST MORRIS CHAIR
Even Morris the Cat would like it.
SHOP OWNER: Todd Makenzie
LOCATION: Gansevoort, NY
My wife wanted a chair to spruce up our guest room. Even though I did have some cherry around, it was mostly 4/4 stock and the plan called for 5/4 or better. This required a lot of gluing and clamping. This project was my first attempt at mortise and tenon joinery. For a finish, I used a few coats of bush oil. My wife did the upholstery and I have to say the cat has a pretty nice place to sit now.. . . Todd Makenzie
