A new platter with a Southwestern influence.

I thought some would like to see the steps involved in one of my creations. I have tried to teach a few to create the 'Ring of Feathers' but they all feel it's just too much work. The title of my latest work is 'Prayer Feathers with the Creator'.
My Creator/Prayer Feather platter started out with a dream and a desire to create Eagle Prayer Feather. So I worked on that area first - the center of the platter, which is a 15 ½-inch diameter. I used the same method to produce the Prayer Feathers as the Creator Ring of Feathers. Some people call it inlay, some call it 'segmented segments', I just call it 'bevel cutting'. This I learned in my scroll saw days.
