A SPARE FROM THE LANES
Featuring a recycled bowling alley top.
SHOP OWNER: Dave Curl
LOCATION: Dacula, GA
Here is my new workbench, which I completed last weekend. My inspiration for it came from the workbench on the cover of Fine Woodworking’s Tools and Shops issue from last year. The top is a two-inch thick slab of bowling alley. The rest is hard maple, with mortise and tenon construction. It weighs about 250 lbs. and I hope will last me a lifetime. The dimensions are: 80” long, 30” wide, and 34” tall.
