Breakdown Podium and Box

HAVE GAVEL - WILL TRAVEL
A compact solution for mobile meetings.

This past spring I helped form a woodworkers club here in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex and for my efforts (I guess), they elected me President. With the need to commute among different shops every month for meetings, I built a breakdown podium, which fits in a small box that I built.

The 10 x 16 x 4 box is pecan, finished with two wipe-on coats of poly. The podium is all quartersawn white oak, sanded, and finished with two coats of wipe-on poly. I used an old Delta/Rockwell lathe, built in January of 55, to turn parts of the podium.

The name of the club is The Tarrant Woodworkers Club and we number 14 to date. We are a general club with all interests represented. We meet the third Tuesday of every month. We are looking for some charity work to undertake (kid's toys, retirement home, and / or disabled vets). Wish us well!
