A SHOP WITH A VIEW
Carved interior window casings add a nice touch.
SHOP OWNER: Garry Smith
LOCATION: Engadine, MI
My woodworking shop is 28’ x 40’. The second floor is 20’ x 40’ for storage with an 8’ x 36’ lean-to off the side for the storing and drying of lumber. My shop is located in Engadine, Michigan, which is located in the Upper Peninsula of the state.
I just completed another carved interior window frame. This is the window behind my down draft sanding cabinet. I decided that I would give each window and door a unique look. The hard part is to come up with different designs. My daughter, Alissa, drew the humming bird, flowers, and vines on a piece of white pine.
I’m also in the process of making a universal tool rack hanging system similar to the system featured in Wood Magazine. You can view additional photos and projects at www.superwoodworks.com.. . . Garry Smith
