A BOX OF EXOTIC WOODS
This woodworker tries his hand at boxmaking.

LOCATION: Whitehouse Station, NJ
After seeing so many boxes pictured around the different message boards, I thought it was time that I tried it too. My second attempt (the first should probably remain hidden from view) is this zircote, American holly, and cocobolo entry. There are unseen purpleheart feet, which create a nice shadow line around the bottom. I reinforced the mitered corners using splines and the inside bottom has green suede flocking. I had fun with the project and it looks like maybe there'll be more in the future.. . . Rickey LoDico
