Oak Trim

CROWNING MOMENT
An earlier mantle design was the inspiration.

SHOP OWNER: Michael Echterling
LOCATION: Highland, IN

This is a picture of the largest, most detailed, and most impractical trim job I have ever done. The room size is 14' x 16' and the fan pattern in the crown panels is repeated around the room. There are just less than 500 pieces in the crown. We enlarged the pattern over the entryway.
I originally built the mantel for them in 2001. The customer liked it so much that he requested us to make the rest of the room match. They are still considering what they want to do with the French doors. The TV already had a solid oak cabinet, so we just refinished it to match the existing woodwork.
