EVOLUTION IN STYLE
Waterfall bubinga and Cuban mahogany veneers flow along this dainty design.

Here is another avant-garde hall table. The legs are solid bubinga; the top is veneered on both sides with Waterfall bubinga (name of the grain pattern) on solid bubinga. I veneered the aprons and stretchers with Cuban mahogany, which darkened even more than the regular grained solid bubinga. The finish is my usual mix of oil/varnish finish. Eventually, I will rub it out to a satin sheen finish.
The design for this hall table has evolved from my previous pieces. I tried to make it as "fragile" looking as possible. Despite its dainty lines, it is very ridged and stable.. . . H. C. Sakman, a.k.a. "Chico"
