Randy's Oak Frame

ODE TO WOOD GONE BY
Vintage shots framed in oak.

SHOP OWNER: Randy Burbank
LOCATION: Kimberly, ID

I call this "Ode to Wood Gone By". The frame houses three vintage postcards showing huge logs being transported either by truck or by train. I bought the postcards on Ebay for $3 - $4 each. When deciding on a way of displaying them, I chose to build a picture frame. I used oak for the frame's rails and stiles. The inlayed splines or keys in the corners are cocobolo.
