Phil Burt's Humidor

KEEPIN' THOSE STOGIES FRESH
A special piece of wood finds a new life in this humidor.

SHOP OWNER: Phil Burt
LOCATION: Benton, KY

I made this humidor for my best friend Ben Sorkin who collects and smokes good cigars. This was my first attempt at building a humidor.
The top of the box is made out of padauk. This was a piece of wood that I have had about 10 to 12 years waiting for that special project.
The sides of the humidor are maple, the corner inlays are ebony and the bottom is a really nice piece of figured cherry that I cut from a rough board. I finished the outside with twelve coats of Waterlox.
