David Maudlin's Rocking Horse

TRIO OF TRIUMPHS
A rocking horse, blanket chest and cradle in a symphony of woods.

SHOP OWNER: David Maudlin
LOCATION: Salem, IN

I have been woodworking for about four years now and thouroughly enjoy it. Here are three photos of projects I've completed recently. All of the wood I use is from local sawmills and is grown in this area of southern Indiana.
The rocky horse at left is from the Meisel catalog pattern. I only changed the type wood used; mine contains pine, oak, walnut, cherry, elm, maple and sassafras. The kids can enjoy riding it while the adults try to identify the different species of wood.
The two photos below are of my blanket chest of walnut and my cherry cradle.
