A CASE FOR OLD GLORYPocket screws make it knock-down.
SHOP OWNER: Bob Berner
LOCATION: Allentown, PA
This is the fifth flag case I've made, all for family or friends. Each one turns out a little nicer that the last one. This case is walnut, finished with three coats of Waterlox and a coat of wax. All the angles are 45° and cut on the table saw. The top miter is glued with hide glue and reinforced with a biscuit.
The bottom of the case is attached with pocket screws so that the glass, which is held in a dado, can be replaced if it ever breaks. I kept the design of the case very simple so that attention is not drawn away from the flag....Bob Berner
