A WORK IN PROGRESS
This pedestal table is a study in contrasting woods.
SHOP OWNER: Basil Bailey
LOCATION: Lancaster, SC Here's a table I've been working on. I hope to finish it by Christmas.
The oval top is still awaiting a 2 1/2-in. or 3-in. rim of oak around it. I'll also be putting four feet on the center pedestal; that should make the table pretty stable.
The table leg is the first piece I ever turned -- 32 pieces of oak, maple and walnut. It sure was fun to watch the pattern I had planned come out of that glued-up mess.
Here are the pedestal and the top again. The little ham on the left just had to get in the pictures. He is the best thing I ever made, and, like the table, is a work in progress. :-)...Basil Bailey
