SOUPED UP SHAPER
Add an Incra Twin and a Baby feeder for heavy-duty precision.

I've never been satisfied with the commercial router tables or even the one I built. Then after being introduced to the Grizzly shaper I got the idea of adding the Incra Twin linear to the shaper. Well here it is!
I extended the back of the shaper by using the old steel angle rails from my Craftsman saw and two 3/4-in. laminated plywood boards that I glued and screwed together. This setup is very strong; you can lift the back of the shaper with the rails. I most recently added the Harbor Freight version of the 1/8 HP Baby Power feeder. What a nice combination!
With the shaper's maximum speed of 10,000 rpm, I have no problems cutting dovetails with this setup; but I still use my Leigh jig for that. I cut the dovetails on the silver chest at left using the Leigh jig....Ken Roberts
