OAK COFFEE TABLE
Breadboard ends and a painted base are the highlights of this small table.

Here is an Oak coffee table with breadboard ends and V-grooves separating the three top boards. The base is poplar finished in a country green stain. The base is mortise-and-tenon construction.
I made the top of 3/4-inch stock and joined the three boards with a glue-joint bit. The breadboard ends are floating, with just one screw in each end. The table has a 3-in. strip to make it look 1 1/2-in thick. I used a honey-maple stain and three coats of a water-based polyurethane to protect the top....Harvey Klene
