David Frame's Humidor

CIGARS NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD
This humidor is a symphony of lovely woods.

SHOP OWNER: David Frame, Jr.
LOCATION: Cyberspace

Here is a humidor I made back in October, 1997. I traded it for some work on my house.
The box is curly maple with a bookmatched top. The inlay, splines, handles and tray risers are Gaboon ebony. The entire box is lined in Spanish cedar. I made the escutcheon plate for the humidistat of curly maple, and the escutcheon plate for the key of ebony.

I didn't like the humidifier, but the client wanted it. I would have preferred to make an escutcheon plate with a 50mm humidity gauge and the humidistat. It would have looked so much better, but as we all know the customer is always right.
