This is a mission style hutch I built from plans from one of WoodCentral's sponsors, Rockler Hardware. It's made of quartersawn white oak except for the drawer bottoms, shelves and back which are red oak plywood. I originally planned to stain it, mainly to "pop-the-fleck" and even out some of the sap wood visible in the drawers, but all the samples I tried came out just dreadful! So, I punted and just put on some polyurethane...
