Now, what to do with all the dough he saved?

Here are a few photos of my first large project. My wife wanted a new entertainment center and I couldn't see spending $3000 on a pre-made particleboard unit. We decided on what we wanted, and I bought some plans and modified them to our liking.
The majority of the case is birch veneer plywood with solid birch trim, doors and molding (my first project where I made my own molding). I spent about four months of occasional nights and weekends working on it, from September through Christmas, in my unheated garage in northwestern NY.
The finish didn't turn out quite the way I wanted because I was pressed for time (my wife was almost 7 months pregnant) and the temperature didn't cooperate, but she was happy with it. I certainly learned a lot from working on something this size and figure I only spent about $800 on it.
