2003 FALL

Can you believe it?
WoodCentral is 5!

WoodCentral officially celebrates its five-year anniversary on October 23, 2003, and we're still doing what we've done all along, providing community and good woodworking information to more visitors than practically any other woodworking site on the Internet. It's very gratifying to know that we're doing something right!

We need your continuing support.
WoodCentral would not be as vital as it is without the considerable efforts of our staff of volunteers who bring you Shop Shots, Sightings, Articles & Reviews, Book Reviews, Links and other favorite WoodCentral features and who moderate our messageboards so ably and patiently. I can't thank them enough for donating their skills and time to the cause.
We also need support from the many thousands of folks who find this site useful, entertaining or indispensible. I know there are a lot or you out there, and if you haven't contributed in the past, I would like to add your name to our "Wall of Fame". If you are already a Wall-of-Famer, I hope you will continue to support WoodCentral in some way. (If you have contributed but are not listed on the Wall of Fame, please let me know that, too. Our clerical department is sometimes a bit lax.)
To cut directly to the chase here, I'd like you to consider supporting WoodCentral in some way. Our advertisers help us to defray many of our fixed costs--such as our annual server fees and domain registration, but we still need your help. The past couple years, I've tried to model our requests for support after National Public Radio's semi-annual fund drives. It's a minor nuisance for a week or two, and then it's over and the mission is funded for another six months.

Premiums for your contributions.
Donations of $50 or more will receive the latest copy of our messsage archives, "WoodCentral: The First Five Years." At the $100 level, donors are eligible for WoodCentral hats or T-shirts, your pick of colors and sizes. And everyone who contributes will get my everlasting esteem and a commitment to keep this site growing and evolving in coming years.

How to contribute…
There are several ways to send your donation to WoodCentral, and they're all easy:

There are no minimum donations, it's secure, you don't have to give out a credit card number, and WoodCentral gets your donation right away.

Your Pay Pal account is bound to come in handy online, especially if you plan to attend online auctions; plus, you'll get a $5 bonus for joining, and WoodCentral will get $5 for referring you.
